As we all are experiencing together, the evolving COVID-19 pandemic is creating widespread disruption within our local schools and communities, as well as across the country and the globe. We all take actions individually to protect those closest to us, and now we must take steps collectively to limit the spread of the virus.
The attorneys and staff at TB&H have an unwavering commitment to our clients and the community to limit the spread of COVID-19, while ensuring that our team is ready to help clients conduct necessary business while navigating this fluid situation.
To satisfy each of those important obligations, on March 17, 2020, TB&H instructed its staff members to work remotely. Remote work will remain in effect through the close of business on April 3, 2020, at which time we will assess the situation based on real-time guidance from the Federal and State CDC and other healthcare authorities.
During this period, our office on Congress Street is accessible only to attorneys on an as needed basis for the provision of essential client services. The limited personnel in the office employ appropriate social distancing protocols.
Our operations personnel have prepared us for the move to remote work, ensuring that TB&H can seamlessly provide timely legal guidance. Attorneys and most staff members will have access to their e-mails and voicemails, so we encourage individuals to contact directly the attorney or staff member you need to reach. In addition, our general number provides an automated message that can direct you to any attorney's voicemail.
These extraordinary circumstances require a reasoned, yet swift, approach. By implementing remote work safeguards, we apply best practices recommended by state and federal authorities to minimize exposure risk, while ensuring the uninterrupted representation of those that have put their trust in us.
We are all Maine folks; we maintain a level of grit, and a strong sense of community, that will allow all of us to get through this together.
Stay safe,
